I’m an experienced councillor with a track record of helping local people.  I am the Liberal Democrat Crime and Community Safety spokesperson, and am chair of the Scrutiny Review Panel of Victims of Crime which recently presented its findings to Haringey Council’s Cabinet. 

For ten years I worked as an assistant to various MPs in the House of Commons on Northern Ireland, health and environment issues. In 1990 I was the first Administrator of the FACTS HIV Treatment Centre in North London.

I am interested in issues relating to mental health and have signed up to a general election petition from Rethink (a leading mental health charity).

My other interests include classical and jazz music, acting and I speak fluent French.
