Working for you in Bounds Green Learn more
by on 5 May, 2010
It has been a real pleasure to serve you, the residents of Bounds Green, over the past four years.
I have continued to be an active and busy ward councillor and I am particularly proud of what we have achieved for local people.
With support from local residents, my Liberal Democrat colleagues Cara Jenkinson, Ron Aitken and I, have successfully campaigned to protect Bounds Green tube station – with English heritage agreeing that it should have Grade II listed status so it will be protected for future generations.
I have also been actively campaigning to keep local services, such as the Lemuel Findlay school and the luncheon club at Woodside House open. The luncheon club was threatened by Labour’s plan to use £11 million of taxpayers money for a new centre for councillors, but our campaign was successful in putting a stop to this.
If you give me the opportunity to carry on my hard work for the local community and re-elect me, along with my Bounds Green team, Cara Jenkinson and Ron Aitken we will continue our hard work. We have made the following pledges:
It is very disappointing that after 40 years of rule, Labour have resorted to personal smears in their efforts to cling on to power. I very much want to keep to positive campaigning, and focus on making Bounds Green better for local residents.
